This magazine double spread sheet consists of a photograph of three guys dressed like teenagers lying on a bed relaxed; this photograph is taken to stereotype teenagers. Through the NVC , we come across an ‘i couldn’t care less’ from the body language The 3 boys are dressed very casual wearing t-shirts and jeans, this also appeals to their target audience as it’s clear from just this double spread that the target audiences is for the teenagers.
On the wall behind there’s pictures of females half naked this supports the stereotype towards teenagers, teenagers are stereotyped to be quite a lot of things: Active, Sexually Orientated, drug users. The pictures on the wall behind the boys clearly justify at least one of these predictions of teenagers. The lighting used is high key lighting this is because they are inside a bedroom with lights on or either the suns shining through which creates that look.
The Photograph of the “teenagers” is big and occupies half the page this how most music magazines are done because it were the main focus should be also its so that a big picture is dominant of the double spread. The fact that the Photograph covers half the page its straight away shows the importance of band and what they have to say is at balance. The magazine also gives the band a certain royalty of importance look and the ‘puff’ an anchorage above it states ‘NME loves the teenagers’ ‘everybody is talking about’
The double page spread also consist of the principle of third as we can tell by the layout on the page, the boy band isn’t directly in the middle of the page but more the left of the page then the heading the masthead is in the top sections of page. NME did this to attract the reader in with a loud picture and heading with little subs around it making you want to read it.

The colours blue and black are continuous used as the scheme over the two pages which build a house style affect the colours used are blue, which is bright and attractive and black and white which is easy on the eyes and clear to read. The colour blue gives that welcoming feeling which draws there audience in, in addition to that the picture anchors the colours used because the colours give a relaxing plane feeling along with the boys just relaxing in the photograph. Considering all these points in the magazine, I would imply that the audience of this magazine would be Teenagers , male or female that seem to be criticized to live like this or are interested in teenage band music.
